1. Who we are

Sentin is operated by Dutchtide Studios. We provide an automated EU trademark monitoring service at sentin.tech. When this policy refers to “Sentin”, “we”, or “us”, it means Dutchtide Studios.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: your name and email address when you register
• Trademark data: the brand names and EUIPO registration numbers you add to monitor
• Billing data: payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Usage data: scan count, alert history, and opposition drafts you create within the app
• Session data: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. This is a strictly necessary cookie — no tracking, no advertising.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the trademark monitoring service
• To send you email alerts when new conflicting filings are detected
• To send you a weekly digest of monitoring activity
• To process your subscription payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

4. Third-party services

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Resend Privacy Policy
• Railway — cloud hosting. Your data is stored on Railway infrastructure in the EU region. Railway Privacy Policy
• EUIPO API — we query the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s public trademark database on your behalf. No personal data is sent to EUIPO.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Alert history and drafts are retained for the lifetime of your account. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: ask us to delete your data
• Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests

7. Cookies

Sentin uses one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent under GDPR. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We do not store payment card details.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
